  i am sorry that on my first post i am asking for help and advice but i am at my wits end.

  i have been brought up a witness all my life and it is all i know.

  i am an ex-elder and pioneer and i don't know anybody outside of the congregation.. i have been unhappy for so long and wanted to leave.

  In his SECOND post, he is asking for money.

  In his fifth post, he is telling us that he had a position at the KHall.

  Do you not remember the latest title for the guy at the podium on Sunday's? Holding a WT study?

  S&L himself says just last year he was the "WatchtowerConductor". WRONG! He has said an old title, not the latest one. He is a PHONY.

  This guy is trolling for your hard earned cash. He is a rip off artist.
  

  He doesn't even know to toss out in his spiel, the correct terminology.

  My cat died suddenly!

  i did not realize that they were symptoms that something was wrong with my cat -but i did notice that my cat was breathing a little differently for a period of about a few days.

  i also noticed prior and after to that, that on occasion, my cat would cry at the litter box, but that was a very seldom event.. anyway, about a week ago i noticed the symptom that my very loved cat was breathing heavy.

  so i called a taxi and i was going to rush him to emergency room for cats.

  I am so sorry for your loss, Fisherman. (Hugs of understanding and comfort)

  Two years ago today, I lost my pretty Juliette to ear cancer. Even though a lot of money was spent on treatment, 6 months later, it came back with a vengeance.

  1974 Special Meetings

  as we all know, armageddon was just around the corner in 1974. at the district conventions that year, it was announced that there would be two special meetings during the month of september; one would be for interested people (e.g., bible studies, family members, inactive, etc.

  ), and the other would be for baptized publishers.

  these were to be held in place of the service meetings for the two weeks, iirc.

  @Pete Zahut. Your last paragraph. Congratultions on your soon to be new status as the best Grandpa in the whole world. (Isn't that what all grandchildren think?)

  Then your sentence where the shoe drops. All of us that lived through those horrid years, for what? So those WT psychopaths could brag about their little 25cent "Truth" book, being a big seller AND look at all of their religion's increase of newly converted innocent WT zombies. I was a little kid in the 1950's raised in fear. That is how WT controls innocent people who do not know how to do the forbidden research.

  The WT is responsible for ruining millions of human beings lives. All for their own egos and benefit.

  PS I am glad your Dad was smart enough not to convert and was able to swing things so you all could live like a normal family again.

  Did your mom ever say she was sorry for what she made her husband do and her children have to adjust to?

  I think I am well in my recovery from all things JDub, until I see something like the title and OP. In 1974, the kids I went through high school with were enjoying the benefits of "higher education" working in jobs they loved, marrying who they desired and buying houses and filling them with love and children. Planning vacations and putting money away for retirement. JDubs in 1974, well, we know that is a completely different story.

  Jim Olson. I am so sorry this happened to him.

  I wish there was a hell for the Max Larson's of this world. Jim's parents didn't help either when he went home and they told him more or less to man-up, and go back. Go back to cleaning toilets in North Korea? Poor guy.

  If the parents were so proud to have their son 'chosen' to work in 'God's House', how did they feel and what did they tell their friends and family that their Beth-hell-lite son committed suicide, rather than spend one more day in hell on earth?

  Maryo, When I see these videos I am shocked too. I woke up to WT lies almost 5 years ago, and since then there has been so many ridiculous statements by GB. Example, instead of the 2014 Annual Meeting being 100 years of Christ's... what? The GB didn't say anything because they were ranting about what people chose to wear. So now we all know that bright socks are a sin in WTLand. And that must be so very important to know. (???)

  In my new life, I don't tell anyone I was a Jdub. They are a laughing stock.

  These videos, taped at the KHall. I am so flabbergasted, I am speechless. Unfortunately, there are quite a few of them. I staked my life on this religion that I never investagated.

  Two thoughts:

  1. Ask your teenage children to think about their choices. Do they want to stay with the kids at school that they grew up with? Or would they rather move a distance further away to make new friends, better job prospects, also benefiting from a local College or Universities?
  2. Your father. If your 5 points worked on your wife, while not give your Dad the same benefit?
  I wish someone had loved me enough to share TTATT with me, many moons ago.

  omg.

  i have the entire service group coming over for dinner on sunday.

  i don't mind when my wife has a couple over that are cool, but with more than 2 or 3 extra people in my house i get nervous.

  FadeToBlack, Are you providing all of the food and refreshments? Or is it what is called 'pot luck' where everyone brings a dish to share?

  On Sunday, it is Dec 20th, 5 days before Christmas. It would be funny to me if you served seasonal eggnog or the equivalent for the area you live in. Also, if you bought your wife a potted plant like red poinsetta's to brighten up the house. lol

  If your wife is going all out, even so far as getting a new table cloth for your dining table, you could go to your local florist and buy the center piece flower arrangement. At this time of year, it probably will look a bit Christmasie too. lol

  You are the head of the house. If I was you I would greet my guests at the door, give the men an extra hard hand squeeze handshake, hug their wives and welcome them to come into your home.

  We can all understand your dilemma. I am glad I am not in your shoes. lol
